"It helped us a ton at the show because when that first thing hit, and people were like, what is this? And granted, we had the, the, um, it's a huge advantage to be at the show and present something that's very other from the show," he says. "We never really presented anything to the show. We just were able to, everybody saw it at dress rehearsal ... I was like, what the fuck is this?" He adds: "If you came into a writer's room and were like, okay, so the premise is it's kind of like these guys and they're rappers, but they're kind of, like, colored me bad."
