It seems like global worming could be changing the shape of animals overtime, but we don't really know which rules apply to which specific animals. For cold blooded creatures, it seems that these kind of, like, within lifetime changes might be responsible for the shrinking effect. But for some animals, we know that when it's warmer during their dee ment, they'll just get smaller. And thatud be what scientists call like a plastic change.
A recent study of tens of thousands of birds has shown that birds are growing smaller over time. It could be due to climate change, and if so, we ought to consider: How else might humans be altering the literal shape of life on Earth — now and in the future?
