The majority of pensioners don't have to work any more. Whether they're poor or rich, they have more time on their hands. Thoyr effectively their own boss. Know what to do with themselves. They canno do what my mum does. Ugo's retired. Since she retires, you go, she hops on the bus, d goes to derby every day and dosso does some shopping. Or you could go bowling, or you could go for a stroll round the park,. You could watch television all day, whatever. But by becoming your own boss and having no kind of responsibility towards an employer, that has a certain kind of social distancing effect.
