"I used to rely on referrals and word of mouth, which basically means I didn't get many clients," he says. "When I identified this problem, I found that running a paid ad on Facebook or Google is a way more effective way to get in front of someone because it runs like a machine" He then started doing phone calls only and stopped going to face-to-face meetings.
