The us. Navy will go on a massive shipbuilding spree, and by the end of the war, they will have 671 vessels. At max strength, the confederacy will have just shy five thousand men, four thousand 966. We don't officially know how many men served in the confederate navy because the records aren't all available. But we believe it to be a total of six to seven thousand men across four years.
