Late Night Linux

CHAPTER

Z Mo Dem

Z Mo Dem is a firmware for ESP32 or ESP8266 controllers with Wi-Fi on that will connect to a serial port on an old computer. It doesn't give you internet access because they're not up to running a TCP IP stack, although maybe the microcontroller is. But what it does do is it lets your access telnet and there are lots of old bulletin board systems still running on telnet on the internet. These controllers achieve the firm as open source, getting some kind of connectivity from your old machine.
