The Proto-Indo-European Language
The Proto-Indo-Europeans were a group of people whose existence is mostly inferred from linguistics rather than from like physical evidence. Their language would eventually give rise to hundreds of languages among them, the most commonly spoken on earth. And so that's how milk drinking shaped language across the world. But despite this, milk consumption continues at high rates in some places and even seems to be increasing in popularity where lactase persistence is low such as China.
