The Importance of Mindfulness in Buddhist Practice

Gautama is quoted as saying when I am angry I am mindful of the fact that I am angry clearly whether it be he or some of his disciples felt anger and so that was part of the repertoire of their human experience. Westerners hear that they usually take a nosedive and or leave or it creates an enormous amount of complication unless you happen to be wired like I am or was. Gautama: "I don't know that you would find an excuse for licentious behavior though"
