The Guest House

The only way out is through awareness. Learning how your mind works helps you learn to work with it. It also helps you embrace strong emotions when they come, no matter if joy sadness or anger. So see if to day you can play with turning toward whatever comes up and breaking it down into its component elements. I'll end with one of my favourite poems by the sage and poet romy it's called the guest house. Every morning, a new arrival, a joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all.
