The Importance of Stepping Back and Critical Thinking in Research

A lot of junior UX designers are not set up to take that step back and make those judgment calls. A lot of times, some very experienced and proficient researchers can be completely blindsided by the political environment. And so I've talked to people who are very, very senior, who don't necessarily have the tools to set up these projects for success in advance.
