The Benefits of Renewable Natural Gas
Renewable natural gas is a term that's used to describe biogas that has been upgraded to the use in place of fossil natural gas. The biogas used to produce RNG comes from a variety of sources, including municipal solid waste landfills and digests wastewater treatment facilities. Under a power and GHC reporting protocols, CO2 emissions from RNG are treated as carbon neutral or even carbon negative.
