The Role of Markets Versus Government
I'm not sure I can point to one being better or less than the other quite yet. Different countries or different regions, depending on the historical context and cultures, might use more of one as opposed to the other. But if you look at what's been happening in the last few years, even the US is moving towards a much more government active approach in supporting innovation. And the US is also the first time having some kind of industrial policy in terms of trying to support specific sectors,. Much like what China has been doing. So I really think you need boats when you ask market versus government. We have seen on one hand the role of government best exemplified by countries...not necessarily India
