The Importance of Early Treatment for OCD

It's common for children to have OCD-like behaviors who never develop OCD. Children also can sometimes get very literal, very rule-bound by things as a way of them learning rules in the ways that we all do. So keep your eye on it. If you have a family history of OCD or an OCD-related disorder, I would err on the side of seeing a therapist and not induce the OCD.
