How to Measure TPO Antibodies for Overt Hypothyroidism

If your TSH is 20 and you're overtly hypothyroid, you really need TPO antibodies. If the antibodies are positive, that is a patient who's more likely to progress to overt hypothyroidism. Up to 40% of patients can revert over time. So if I had to say, when would I check off? It might be in that instance where I'm trying to figure out if this is someone who I can follow less frequently or I need to follow more frequently.
