I Don't Know You, You're Not My Mother
"I remember feeling that icy stab of panic. I don't know you, and something is happening here that shouldn't be happening," she says. "My mam would always tell me the story when i was younger that the second i was born, or ever, she could pick out my voice like one kid yelling, mam." She recalls her mother getting in her face over a woman who tried to push her into a shopping cart as an infant.
