The first time i drew was with an urban sketcher in minneapolis. He said, you have a distinct style and that's the first time it occurred to me. Style develops when we lean into these things that are our idios cies. There is no single standard of art any more. Just draw what you want to draw. You look at my tiny people drawings, there are no feet. I don't like to draw shoes, so i don't draw shoes. Their legs end as stumps. This is how you develop style. These ideas reiterated so many times over so many pages, never stepping back, never editing, is what developed into what became my style. And eventually
