The High Jacking of Flight 11

Under the protocols in place on september eleventh, an air traffic control is concernd that something was amiss. The director of the office of civil aviation security was the f a a's high jack coordinator. If the director confirmed the incident as a high jacking, he or she would contact the pentagon to request a military escort aircraft. But because flight 11, like all the hyjact planes, had turned off its transponder, they didn't know where to point the intercept fighters.
