Another reason which gave momentum to Islamic feminism is actually what they call it the limitation of secular feminism. September 11 attacks heightened interest in Islam, Muslim people and Islamic feminism. Western media at that time started to say that Muslim, especially Muslim fundamentalist, they oppress women.
