Debriefing Improves Performance Over Time

The act of de briefing improved your team's performance over time. Debriefing it, not in saying, what could we do better? I think those conversations are valuable. But when a patient just died, and i'm worried that the new medical assistant who was doing compressions is worried that their compressions were good enough, and that's why this person died. We have a tendency to believe that we have more control over a situation than we do. And so we're tempted to ascribe more power to our actions than there probably is. So if we can just on learning more about what's going on and how things work, then we will improve.
