Lawn Mower Parenting
Helicopter parenting is like hovering over and watching out for anything that might occur to the student. Lawn mower parenting is a bit more extreme, but i'm seeing a lot more of it. A lawn mower parent will not even allow a struggle to exist. It's as if the kid's pathway can never have a weed in it. And unfortunately, by they're 18, 19, 20, because they've never experienced any kind of a, for lack of better metaphor, weed or problem or struggle, they have no idea how to react to it.
