The Problems of Abstraction and Addiction
We have a false account of what's going on. We replace reality with abstraction, and the second is we react to our gargantual sense of of a existential lack through addictive patterns of behavior. A addiction to money, even if you don't know how to spend it, because it's a symbol for power and power. The only possible meaning of life is to accumulate matter, because that's the only thing that exists. And therefore we have this black hole in the middle of our chests that we try to cover through patterns of addiction.
