We paid top dollar for junk. I believe we probably overpaid our agents because we were so keen on keeping them on board. The equipment that we gave them, including some very sensitive burst smitters and satellite communication systems, would all compromise. We also knowf se that everything that the cubans learned about the c is operations and the identity of our officers went right to the k g b. It was one of the worst defeats that i think us. Intelligence has ever ever suffered.
