The Lawgens of Sparta
Sparta refused to adopt the system of making silver into coins, in the manner of other Greek cities. Spartans were also forbidden from traveling abroad, except on state instructions. foreigners were not admitted to Sparta without supplying a very good reason for doing so. Training was designed to produce men who conformed to this pattern alone. The process for creating invincible warriors began at birth.
