The Contingency Story of the Cold War
I focus on contingency in the context of these safety catastrophes. I also think you could have a somewhat similar story, although with some dot dot dot or question marks for conflict as well. And elegy here is just the Cold War where most people to start up the Cold War thought there was a very, very high chance of the US or the Soviet Union using nuclear weapons against the other. This was really commonly thought is all these anecdotes of people working around not taking their pensions and things like this. And it didn't happen, but it seems like it could have.
