Cardialware - The Early LBK Expansion
Impresse-where pottery started expanding from the Adriatic westward into Sicily and Italy proper. Cardialware used a particular kind of shell, the cardium, for tempering. This was the style that then spread further to the west. Within a century of showing up in southern France around 5,700 BC, Cardial culture sites appeared in northeastern Iberia.
