The Power of Large Language Models
The new language models show that there are lots and lots of indirect statistical information that can be put together by these large networks to essentially create grammatical language. So you don't actually need explicit examples of is the man who's smoking toll in order to be able to produce that question right the first time. You can rely on having come across sub paths of that sentence in one form or another, and then sort of piece that together on the fly. And this is what these models seem to be ableto do.
