The strange voice continued from day to day mystifying everyone who came to visit and ministered to mother's wants. Richard wrote no rhythmical sound or melody ever fell upon the ear with sweeter pathos coming as it did like a volume of symphony from a burst and heart I have seen the tears trickle down mother's fever cheeks while friends would turn away to hide repressed weeping sick as she was Mother never neglected to compliment the song thank you Kate that was so sweet and beautiful it makes me feel better which the witch seemed to appreciate.
