Characters charge up to get to do their action. So do the monster. And you can see the bars for both yourself and the monsters, so you can kind of plan ahead very well. Different attacks have different directions and spaces that they can attack. Some attacks are really hard to hit with, and you kind of have to manoeuvr well to get with them. It gives you a lot of freedom to set things up how you want them set up which is kind of, it's like a blessing for winning.
