Andre: How young is too young to learn about racism and bigotry? For some of us, these lessons come before we even learn to tie our shoes. Angela Davis refers to this concept as a sort of historical memory. We may not have been alive to experience certain things, but we have an obligation to absorb the lessons of those that came before us. Along her journey, I doubt this introverted bookworm would have imagined that her image would be burned into our minds - her iconic afro and raised fist.
