Women's Protests in Iran
Last month, Iran's morality police arrested a 22-year-old Kurdish Iranian. She was visiting Tehran and apparently revealed some of her hair. Her death set up widespread protests with demands ranging from more freedoms to an overthrow of the state. For 40 years, Islamic Republic of Iran imposed strict dress code laws on women. Now, women have taken into the street and they say enough is enough. They chant women life freedom.
