We intuitively feel like we know courage when we see it, but there are some complexities and some moral questions at stake. And especially we know, for instance, that you can show something resembling courage in defense of evil. That kind of marshals that executes on the commands of reason. So that's where we are, and we're talking now about the virtue of that part of the soul which remember is the Arate, or the Excellence.
