This is the perfect story to teach diction and word choice. I don't know, yellow is such an interesting color choice because it has so many different connotations. She says she describes it as a sickly sulfur. And then you get the odor imagery coming through as well as if the wallpaper could give that off. No wonder the children hated it. I should hate it myself if I had to live in this room long. There comes John. It's fantastic imagery.
