For most of the story, we don't know much about Romi other than that she's a dancer. There is a sense of displacement, I think, throughout the story. Between the narrator and Romi, we have three different interpretations of the film. These three shifting interpretations also are punctuated by three appearances of Urshadi,. each one diminishing in power.
