Ubuntu - An Idea of Ubuntu

Ubuntu began to be used as a specific form of African humanism. It coincided with the period of decolonization or rather formal political independence was taken place in 1960s. In some ways, some leaders were trying to pursue a sort of a new African-specific humanism for the burgeoning countries at the time. What I found interesting is that this term Ubuntu is an idea of Ubuntu and it was particularly picked up in Zimbabwe and in South Africa.
