Is Consciousness in the Brain?

In a condition called somatoperifrenia, people have the experience that their limbs are not their own limbs. It just shows that things that we take for granted about the relationship between our appearance and reality can be brought into question. So this is a very interesting question actually because at some point for each person listening to this, there will have been an time when consciousness emerged.
