The Theodicy of Suffering
When you experience hardships in life, you're more apt to turn to your spiritual side. A lot of people that go through really hard things and events and struggles tend to look for greater meaning in their life to get them out of that. There is the concept of it's like a theodicy, we are kind of co suffering as Jesus did when he crucified right. And not only are we redeeming ourselves through our suffering, we're redeeming others just as he redeemed all of us when he died on the cross.
