Inversion of the Yield Curve

The Fed wanted higher interest rates or a claim that it wanted higher rate to restrict growth and inflation. The yield curve seemed to be fighting them on that because the rates were high in the front and then would go lower afterwards. Chairman Paul Volcker responded to Mr. Wallach's comment, I don't know whether anybody is enough of a historian here to know the difference. That's something they were trying to understand because again, inversion was unfamiliar.
