The Different Strengths of Explanatory Journalism
In the persuasion world, there is some work on narrative persuasion and this notion that through a story, you will kind of come to adopt some perspective that you hadn't had before. So I don't know if that I was curious in that it seemed like something that you were in the midst of figuring out what its relevance was. It's much more difficult to evaluate because it essentially requires a great deal of expertise to know whether any given piece, any given explainer is doing a good job providing the context for the story. And so I'm still dedicated to making sure that that's the mission and that's themission of the news organization that I work for.
