The Debt Ceiling Debate
We have 9 trillion dollars of national debt rolling over in the next 18 months. We're going to issue 3.15 trillion dollars Of new debt on top of our tax receipts. This is deficit spending in excess of what we're bringing in in tax receipts right now. And how are we going to fund that where we have to issue more and more debt? I don't think any of us would do that either.
