Is Tim Portal a Silver Bullet for Database Transactions?
Tim Portal gives you the most explicit interface and contract for when you're doing things across multiple discrete services. It makes it much, much easier to develop applications that are reliable and more enjoyable to develop in the first place. You can write code just to three lines of code deposit, this draw deposit and generate whatever, like invoice. Those Tim Portal handles kind of seamlessly. But then there are business level failures which don't exist because your code doesn't care about them. And so again, differentiation between those two types of failures is very important.
