Salesforce's results on Wednesday are a big vindication of Salesforce's strategy so far. But I don't expect this to completely quell the activists. The largest hedge fund in the world, Bridgewater Associates, is undergoing a huge shakeup. It's the biggest shakeup since founder Ray Dalio gave up control last October.

Salesforce reported better than expected earnings on Wednesday amid a fight with activist investors, Bridgewater Associates is set to cut about eight per cent of its workforce, and Chinese factories are on a charm offensive.
