The Trial of Sarah Osburn

Sarah Osburn had been stuck in bed for over a year due to illness. She was the longtime enemy of the Putnam family thanks to her property dispute with them. When she laid eyes on Annie Putnam, one of the four girls making the accusations, she knew the odds were stacked against her. The important thing to remember here is that the Puritans of 1692 didn't see a distinction between the church and the state.
