i find this evidence interesting for two reasons. i grew up in virginia beach, virginia, which is the state's largest city and a pretty conservative place,. especially when i was a kid. I knew there ware there liberal places, but sort if i got most places are probably pretty conservative. Yes, it was not until i got to college and in an after college, where i really kind of encountered people who were sort of like genuine lefties. And i would add to that that i view some of this as just another species of conservative catastrophism. Nothing was ever just a discreet issue which could be debated on its own terms. So like wearing masks early in the pandemic
