What's the Cost of a Myopic Worldview?
The way we see the world is a linear reductionist, anthropocentric, mind-based worldview. That viewpoint came into its major form in the late 19th century and has been developing ever since Enlightenment. It gives human beings a sense of power because then the world is sort of this ball of resources that we can pull from indefinitely,. The problem is at this point, that model is breaking down considerably, because it's not really accurate to the world.
