As the virus has evolved, as we've had subsequent variants, this condition seems to be a less common side effect. It doesn't help people who were infected early in the pandemic and still have the smell off. One good thing is that the prevalence of smell as has gone down as the virus has evolve. But there are still people out the here that are still suffering from this.
