Punishment Is Good, but Too Much of It Is Not
Michael S. Moore concedes to Aaron Kelly that this legitimacy is something the state can lose. State actors have a duty to render justice to their citizens, but sometimes they lose the standing to be the enforcers of that duty because they're such corrupt violators themselves. "I think we have a reasonably just society less so the last three years than the previous," he says.
