Rudolph Fats: The Case of Virginia Brayton
Tugan Crawley was sentenced to be executed by electric chair the week of July 5th, 1931. Rudolph Fats appeared on first degree murder charges before the Supreme Court Justice Albert Cohen and entered a plea of not guilty even though he admitted that he killed her. The case was now under New York City jurisdiction because he confessed to killing her in the Bronx before dumping her body in Yonkers. Virginia Brandon's father traveled from banger or banger, Maine for the trial.
