Brendan: The easiest option is to just say to kids oh why don't you write a story today. You're much more accountable if your students are failing it uh informative then they are at narrative. If teachers genuinely study more about how words are built at the sub word level, their learning will never come to an end. Brendan's go-to online etymology dictionary is eta online and he says like any assistive technology "you've got to learn how to use it"
