Isaiah's Promises to the Israelites
In the midst of all this justice, there is mercy shining through. The way he said it put me in remembrance. How can we not want to remember a god who chooses not to remember our sins? And if god refuses to remember our worst moments, provided we repent of them, then why wouldn't we be willing to remember god when he has blessed us and preserved us? That is isaiah's message. This is a reminder to ancient israel of their true identity. Do you remember who you are? Do you remember whose you are, then act accordingly. In a desert, water is more recious than gold.
