How GPT Can Produce New Knowledge

A lot of people actually argue that it's never going to produce new knowledge. I asked it to write in the style of Thomas Pinshan, and it couldn't even remotely close. It can create like new new configurations kind of, but it's just taking everything else that already exists. This was our argument when we dealt with it. But where I think continental philosophers sometimes aren't being self-reflexive is that, you know, just admit that maybe what this theorists that you really like is up to is not the same thing. You don't need to defend them on those terms.
